We are a small private practice in Portland that provides contractual on site speech therapy to public or special purpose schools, tele therapy as well as therapy in our Portland office. Expertise from Experience and cutting edge treatments due to continued growth in learning results in new therapies as well as longstanding traditional speech language therapy.
Why contracted services from a local provider?
Expertise due to over 20 years of experience in public and special purpose K-12 schools with less cost to the district/agency than a hire for this level of experience
Not a big agency, so you will not be paying a high contracted rate and end up with a new grad- you will pay less for more experience contracting than with a hire!
All totaled; your employee costs are 1/3-2/3‘s more than their salary by the time you pay for benefits such a sick days, continuing education, insurances, etc. With Portland
Speech Therapy, you get experience that would cost more but at a flat contractual hourly rate.
Direct Face:Face service with individuals and small groups, saving the cost of hiring an onsite paraprofessional/helper for remote services delivered via telepractice.
Full Sp/Language Evaluations administered on site unlike evaluations from telepractice companies that cost the district/school additional fees.
Preschool, Rehab Centers, Clinic & Hospital experience
Contract hours include direct and indirect hours make all this possible: IEP meeting attendance, MaineCare documentation, IEP paperwork, caseload management, scheduling, progress reports, ability to consult with staff & parents directly, classroom collaboration or co teaching.
Because the services are on site, no extra work for onsite staff to send files to a tele therapy site.
Experience with full range of clientele: preschool, school age and adults.
Maine State Licensure which makes 293 certification unnecessary. CHRC fingerprinting approval. ASHA certified certificate of clinical competency (CCC-SLP), ASHA National Outcome Training & LSVT-Loud specialty certification.
Evidence based treatments from up to date training.
Comprehensive understanding of testing results in customized IEP goal writing.
Portland Speech Therapy Services offers on site services with clinicians with long term experience working in schools & training from some of the top Children’s Hospitals in Boston. We utilize and are trained in the following programs among others: Social Thinking Programs, SuperFlex, Lindamood Bell programs, executive functioning, selective mutism, apraxia, literacy, ipad and app technology, augmentative communication, Advanced SCERTS training, multi input therapy, LSVT.
